2 CHAINZ SALUTES HBCUs IN "MONEY MAKER" VIDEO

FEDS WATCHING:  T.I.P. Owes the SEC

"YOUR VOTE WILL COUNT;" HERE'S WHY

Rapper YelloPain  Takes US Back to School with  "My Vote Will Count"

September 18, 2020

Yoooo!!! Yello Pain did the damn thang! His “My Vote Will Count” featuring Sevyn Streeter took me back to my 9th-grade civics class – God bless, Mr. Johnson – and reminded me why my vote matters.

If you haven’t listened to the song in its entirety, please listen to it multiple times because it clearly explains the who, what, when, where, why, and how the voting system works and directly affects Black people. From the monthly “food stamps” allotment to the judges that decide the terms of your probation violation, YelloPain keeps it current, conversational, and clearly states why voting is essential to our livelihood.

If Black Lives Matter, so does YOUR VOTE, which WILL COUNT. However, the only way that happens is if you are registered and exercise your right to vote.

Register to vote or confirm your voter registration status and polling place by visiting https://vote.gov/.

T.I. Faces Federal Charges and Has to Ante Up

September 14, 2020

T-I-P owes the S-E-C thousands – NOPE, not talking about a college football bet gone wrong. This is another case of “The Feds Watching”...

The King of the South T.I.P. got into another sticky legal situation alongside film producer Ryan Felton and two others; according to multiple sources, Felton promised to build a digital platform similar to “Netflix” to promote new artists’ music. However, that didn’t happen and now T.I. owes the Securities and Exchange Commission $75,000.

If you’re like me, cryptocurrency and bitcoin are like your foreign language credits, you need them to graduate but don’t really understand why.

One thing for sure and two things for certain: T.I. avoids jail time, admitted no guilt, and has agreed to ante up $75,000 in a settlement.

Notably, T.I. is NOT the first celebrity to face regulatory action from the SEC, Floyd Mayweather and DJ Khaled repaid the likes of $300,000+ and Khaled paid $150,000+ due to ill-gotten funds in 2018. Based on those numbers $75,000 doesn’t look so bad.

HBCUs get to Shake their "Money Maker" in New Video

September 11, 2020

The “Money Maker” visual is here, and I am here for it. The “Piece of My Love” sample from Guy makes the ear immediately fall in love as 2-Chainz intentionally salutes HBCUs and the Black college experience.

From “Duffle Bag Boy” to ColleGrove 1 and 2, 2-Chainz remains current and spits lyrics as only he can on his latest collaboration with Lil Wayne that reminds us to “Shake ya ‘Moneymaker’ don’t let that money make ya.”

As an HBCU graduate of the real HU—Howard University and a music sample connoisseur, “Money Maker” is a bop period! Also I’m so glad 2Chainz didn’t take the typical route by showcasing the strip club scene and chose to focus on the band and majorettes of many of our favorite historically Black colleges and universities.
